Help your employees learn the rules for handling and transporting hazardous materials and hazardous waste and prevent fatal injuries. Thanks for your interest.

Although environmental emergencies make up only a portion of my work today, I’m often called to the site of an oil spill, tank rupture, toxic fire, or transportation accident to assist in the crew logistics, coordination and documentation preparation of chemical clean-ups.

In addition, I serve as a liaison to the City of Los Angeles Fire Department as a Battalion Emergency Response Coordinator for prompt community evacuations should a fire, a toxic plume or a chemical liquid discharge poses a hazard risk to the residents in the community area.

In August 2000, Mr. McDavid was the first person to organize the First Symposium of OSHA Facility Incident Commanders in the State of California at CalState University Los Angeles. In 1985, I wrote a visionary article entitled ā€ Chemical Risk Management Could Be The Wave Of The Future,ā€ which was published by the magazine Occupational Health and Safety News. The article became the pioneer idea for FEMA and OSHA to start the foundation of Chemical Safety Vulnerabilities as we know today, and was archived in EPA Envirosense archives.

This time, it is my opinion that bilingual training in health and safety is the wave of the future as companies hire more workers with different diversity skills. In health and safety, it is important and necessary that workers understand clear instructions about handling hazardous materials and waste to prevent errors and financial liability to manufacturing companies.

I’m a bilingual (English-Spanish) trainer for the growing demand of bilingual workers. An undertaking of these needs will demand not only great commitment, but skillful organization from manufacturing companies to protect workers, improve profits, and create a safe environment in the nation.

In my daily work, customers are pleased to discover my orientation to permanent solutions, the ability to deal with all faces of the problem, and a talent for creative problem solving based on sound applied science and common sense. Even more, my clients like the results I produce for them: cost-effective solutions to environmental challenges. Stay in competition for productivity and contact me for cost-efficient training solutions. Thanks for your visit and interest.

Employers who want help in identifying and correcting environmental, safety and health hazards in their workplace can request on-site technical assistance of my consulting services. Usually the initial consultation involves the following steps free of charge:

  1. An opening conference with management to explain the scope of the visit.
  2. A walk-through survey to evaluate mechanical, physical and environmental hazards of the workplace, and review of the present Illness and Injury Prevention Program (IIPP).
  3. A closing conference with management to discuss conditions noted during the survey and to make recommendations.
  4. A written report outlining the conditions found (with an optional liability section if needed)
  5. A follow-up visit, if appropriate, to assure corrective action deadlines have been made.

All provided information is kept confidential. Use the information on how to contact me on the sidebar of the page to schedule an initial appointment at your convenience. Thanks.

MCD Services has a proven environmental, health and safety experience and a solid reputation for customer service. I started in 1983 providing reliable and efficient industrial services to commercial clients in southern California. My goal is to provide the most efficient and cost-effective environmental, health and safety services available by providing business-oriented recommendations and responsible solutions. I have worked with clients that include private sector customers from the aerospace, construction, chemical, petroleum, manufacturing, hospitality and pharmaceutical industries, as well as major contractors to U.S. governmental agencies.

Dedication to safety, service, performance, and customer satisfaction has proven to be the key to my consulting services. I maintain a quality control program for health and safety for dedicated companies and keep an independent quality assurance/control program to ensure that customers and employees benefit from a safe environment.

It is my honest philosophy that there are two fundamental principles at the core of health and safety programs managed by supervisors and operated by employees:

  • All accidents, injuries and occupational illnesses are preventable
  • If an operation cannot be done safely, the worker should not do it

If you want to ensure compliance with the laws and regulations in California, I welcome you to contact me and discuss solutions for a customized type of service or training in your EHS management program. Give me a call and thanks for your interest.
